CONTEMPORARY SHOTGUN (NEW CONSTRUCTION)
DOWNTOWN LEXINGTON, KY
This 1908 Queen Anne shotgun home was completely re-designed and re-constructed by Gibson Taylor Thompson. GTT maintained the signature proportions and scale of the original house while restoring and re-using the original historic old-growth casework to frame the front elongated double-hung windows. The rear of the house was simplified to a rudimentary form, maintaining the historic proportions of the original house while eroding the solid walls to showcase a modern rear façade. The rear ipe deck allows guests to enjoy the downtown urban atmosphere of Lexington, KY.
