1930's Cape Code Renovation

This modest 1930's cape cod underwent a sizable restoration/renovation along with a front and rear addition. The house's classical features have been playfully embellished and exaggerated to showcase larger front and rear windows and provide multiple outdoor sitting spaces. The full length front porch was designed with greek revival detailing and features elongated french casement windows that elaborate the openness of interior & exterior spaces.  The new addition echoes the aesthetic of the original house, but on a larger scale and with contemporary embellishments, with a new living area, open views to the lawn, and master suite. The result is an ensemble of interconnected, sensitively scaled volumes that give nod to historic detailing.
